Activities
Accessions of vegetable are maintained in the collection field at College of Agriculture in Križevci. Vegetatively propagated vegetable like garlic are regenerated each year while the seeds of accessions on which determination, identification and description was done are medium-term stored at +4°C as well as long term storage at - 18°C. Some accession of two years vegetabble species are regenerated at Institute of Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation in Split.

During the 2005 and 2006 the members of VWG are collected the most important domestic garlic ecopopulation. Collected accessions were regenerated in the collection field at College of Agriculture in Križevci where determination, identification and description were done. In 2007. collection of garlic accessions filled up by accession collected by school children from primary and secondary school in Koprivničko – križevačka county.

By the regional SEEDNet project in which besides of Croatia participate partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro 104 accessions of domestic kale ecopopulation from east Adriatic coast and islands was collected. With collected accessions joint collection field at Institute of Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation in Split was established. On the collected accessions description was done and now analyses of genetic variability using molecular markers are in the process.
